With Ridge Point’s help, Holland Middle School was able to upgrade their watering system to their greenhouse. Students and staff grew and harvested 100’s of lbs of produce has been harvested and donated to Community Action House over the past few months. On July 15th a few Fearless Followers continued to partner with HMS to help with a few small projects so that the  green house could open to public to help meet the needs of the food insecure in our area. Check out a few pictures from the work night and a thank you note from teacher Bill Boerman. If you would like to serve at HPS  Contact Maryjob@fearlessfollower.org for more details

For those who came out,  THANK YOU SO much for partnering with us  Tuesday evening at the greenhouse!  In the span of 90 minutes we pulled off the old plastic, put on the new plastic, put on the shade cover, and cleaned everything up.  It was truly fun to see the group come together and help/learn!

As a Christian who works in the public school setting with kids (and families) in some pretty bad situations, it is humbling to see His body come together to help with a tool that literally connects kids with God’s creation.  We are called to ‘let the little children come to me’. . .I firmly believe that them being able to get their hands dirty and see the wonder of nature not only affects their education/nutrition, but it will equip them to be healthy for a lifetime. . .

I can’t thank you enough!  PLEASE feel free to stop in on a Tuesday evening (6-7 pm) to harvest or volunteer again when things get a little more ‘normal’ in our world:)

Blessings

Bill
