Whenever I think of bridges the first one that comes to mind is the Mackinac Bridge between upper and lower Michigan. Just think about it, before November 1, 1957 there was no easy way to get to the beauty of the upper peninsula of Michigan. But, by September 25, 1984, 50 million people traveled with ease to see family or explore the wilds of upper Michigan.

Why am I talking about bridges? a-Mazing Trunks and Treats is a FREE family friendly community event that gives us the opportunity to be a bridge to all the ministries that are offered at Ridge Point. We fill a portion of our parking lot with decorated car trunks, tractors and interesting trucks and each of them will have treats and candy.

But why? I believe this event allows us to be a bridge, a way for the community to travel from where they are to where we are as a body of Christ followers. To be invited to explore the way we worship, or how we partner to spiritually form their children, or how they can be known, needed and challenged to be a part of changing their world for the better.  It is my hope that every family that comes feels loved and encouraged by the church which has always been the people, not a building. Let’s work together to offer an amazing event that becomes a beautiful bridge to who we are at Ridge Point Community Church.
