In my experience, leading a search process is generally quite exciting. Our search for Ridge Point’s next High School Pastor has been just that. After putting the word out to sources across the country and sifting through numerous applicants, our interview process has led us to a small number of highly qualified candidates.

It is almost daunting to think that one candidate will stand out amongst the others when they all possess such passion for students and families, and have the ability and experience to lead our church well in that ministry. Still, I am confident God will show us a clear way forward in the person who will bless our faith community for years to come.

Won’t you please pray with us over these next few weeks?

We, on the Family Life Team, already feel the effects of your prayers and support through this past season of transition.  One of the blessings of leading teams and ministries during seasons of transition and renewal is being able to step back and evaluate where things are and what God might have for us to step into over the coming months.

Our students (and their families) play such a critical role in our church and we are prayerfully moving forward trusting that God’s dream for our student ministries is bigger than anything we could imagine. Having had the opportunity to spend more time with our students over these past months, I am convinced that this collection of inspiring, compassionate, gifted, and fearless followers are not only the church of tomorrow, but the church of today.

Grace and Peace,
Tim Nelson
Family Life Pastor
