I am excited to announce that we have launched a search to fill the position of Lead Pastor at Ridge Point.

For the past several years I have been filling the roles of Senior Pastor of the Fearless Churches and the Lead Pastor of Ridge Point. We have decided to take Lead Pastor off my plate so that I can more effectively oversee our Fearless Family, help to expand it and to plant more partner churches in the years to come.

I am writing you because rather than hire a search company to help us fill this position our leadership would like to use our network of leaders and friends to help us with the search. Do you know any men or women who would be a good match for Lead Pastor of Ridge Point?

I have included documents that tell you about Ridge Point, our community, the leadership structure in our Fearless Family, and the job description.

Briefly, let me tell you what we are looking for. We want someone who teaches and leads well and likes being in a team environment (good at leading and being led). This person will report to me. A biblical, dynamic, and effective teacher is the number one characteristic we are looking for. Ridge Point is a 30-year-old church with a weekly attendance of about 2,300 between in-person and online. Our mission is to Follow Jesus and Fearlessly Make Him Known, and we have always made it our priority to extend the Gospel in word and deed to help people find their way back to God.

We have a magnificent and well-functioning facility on 160 acres in beautiful West Michigan. Ridge Point is part of the Fearless Family of Churches that currently includes two other churches in our area that have been planted in the last six years. We work closely together to pursue the mission and vision God has given us.

Our hope is to bring a Lead Pastor who will teach well, lead Ridge Point within the context of our leadership structure, and help us reach a younger and searching generation that needs Jesus in their lives.
